Itinerary

Day 1Cusco - Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

At 08:00 in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. We will then visit the Sacred Valley.

Our first stop will be in Pisac. It is popular for its handicraft market where the local vendors demonstrate and sell their art works like clothes and decorative items.

After sauntering through the narrow alleys rimmed with stalls, we will take a bus uphill to the archaeological remains of Incas. The archaeological complex is just second to Machu Picchu in size.

After a guided tour of the complex, we will continue to Urubamba. It is a charismatic town enveloped by tall Andean peaks. Here, we will stop for lunch.

After relishing a local buffet lunch (with vegan options) we will start our journey towards Ollantaytambo. It was once an administrative centre of the Incas.

After a guided tour of the complex, you will be boarding a train to Aguas Calientes. Our representative will meet you at the train station and will transfer you to your hotel.

You will have the evening free to yourself. You can visit the hot-springs after which the town is named.

Day 2Machu Picchu - Cusco

After breakfast, you will be taking a bus to visit Machu Picchu. It takes 30 minutes. Once at the entrance of Machu Picchu our tour guide will meet you and assist you to pass through the checkpoint

You will have to display your entrance ticket which will be verified against your original passport.

Once inside, you will have two hours guided tour. On this tour, we will cover prime areas like – the main square, the sacred sundial, the circular tower, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Royal Quarters and the cemeteries.

After the tour, you will have some free time to walk around. If you have booked your hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain, our guide will direct you to the respective trailhead.

Alternatively, you can visit the Sun gate. It requires no advance booking and is free to visit. You will get a spectacular view of the citadel from there. This is the point through which those on Inca Trail to Machu Picchu enter the citadel.

After the tour, you will have to take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes. Here you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo.

Our representative will meet you on arrival and will drive you back to your hotel in Cusco. You will reach Cusco by 10:30 PM.
